Would you like to reduce your carbon footprint?  Emmanuel’s environmental group would like to run a group looking at carbon reduction starting in January (Tuesday evenings).  The course “Footpaths” has been developed over the last couple of years by a group from Transition Leicester of which Jane Woolmer has been a member.

 

The course consists of a series of seven meetings held fortnightly covering the topics of - climate change, home energy, waste and water, consumerism, food and transport with a handbook provided.  The group would be open for anyone to join.  For more information please contact Jane Woolmer via the Parish Office.

Alpha is a short course for people wanting to know more about God and Christianity. It is a great way to get started or just to satisfy one's curiosity in a pressure-free and friendly setting.

Alpha evenings typically start with drinks and a meal, followed a short talk on one of the course topics and then discussion of the topic in small groups.

A Taster Evening for the next run of the course will be held on Wednesday 18 January 2012.

The first of the main course sessions will follow on Wednesday 01 February 2012.

The Link is for those aged 11-14

 

It is chance to take a closer look at what Christians believe and why, and explore what it means to be a Christian in the world today.

 

The evening will also include:

Fun, Games and Challenges,

along with Food and Hot Chocolate.

 

This event is organised by Christian Youth Leaders from Churches across Loughborough and will take place every 6 to 8 weeks.
