We are also pleased to support Traidcraft. Traidcraft is a Christian organisation that has marketed fairly-traded produce in the UK for more than 25 years. Annual sales are £12 million and rising. Fairly-traded means that a fair price is paid to people in over 30 countries who produce the goods – people who might otherwise struggle to live. Emmanuel operates a Traidcraft stall after the 10am service nearly every Sunday, and after the 6.30 service on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month. Emmanuel is a partner church of Damaris – a charity committed to rigorously understanding contemporary culture, so as to be more effective in God-given mission. For example, their work includes such things as bible studies and discussion material on many new films and TV programmes.
